After extending their group activity contract with YG Entertainment at the end of last year, BLACKPINK members are now pursuing individual projects through their own management companies. Jennie has established Odd Atelier, Lisa is running Loud, Jisoo has launched Blisoo, and Rosé has joined The Black Label under producer Teddy.
Rosé recently released the single “APT” in collaboration with pop star Bruno Mars on October 18. Inspired by the popular Korean game APT Game, the song features captivating lyrics and melody. This single quickly became a hit and has consistently risen in global charts.
“APT” will be included in Rosé’s upcoming debut solo album, scheduled for release on December 6. The idol participated in writing lyrics for all 12 songs on this album. The success of the title track “APT” has heightened expectations for the upcoming album.
Jennie, who released the single “Mantra” on October 11, has also made a strong impact. With a message encouraging listeners to shine in their own way, “Mantra” debuted at No. 5 on Spotify’s Global Daily Top Songs chart, setting a new personal record for Jennie. The song also topped the iTunes charts in 57 countries, including the United States, Brazil, Singapore, and Mexico.
Lisa is also busy with solo projects, starting with the single “Rockstar” in June. This song reached No. 8 on Spotify’s Global chart and No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100. Lisa continued to release “New Woman” in August and most recently “Moonlit Floor” on October 4.
Jisoo is focusing more on her acting career. She is currently filming the movie “Omniscient Reader” and the drama “Newtopia” for Coupang Play.
Although pursuing solo careers, BLACKPINK’s popularity remains undiminished. The group is preparing for a reunion in 2025 with a world tour currently being planned.
